We’re assuming Louis-Philippe Charette is French. Not because of his spectacularly French name, but because his entry to the Great WOOOOO Magazine T-Shirt Comp involves a man squelching his balls against a piano.
Very French indeed. Très Magnifique!

We’ve been admiring this Puch in Nolita for a while now. It’s the craziest bike! It’s a single cylinder deal with two individual, molded plastic seats, two mysterious tank caps, knee pads, front and rear drum brakes… We think it’s a 200? 250? It’s pre 1960 for sure… Anyway, we found this photo over at our copyeditors blog- Pacific Standard. He’s been lurking around the Puch too.
I wonder if it’s for sale…

We emailed Jeff at Choke Motorcycles and he says- “thats about a 62-64 puch twingle, rotary crank or piston port on the side probably, called a twingle, they made a 175 and a 250, its called a twingle because its a twin cylinder on the same crank pin, the main piston is bigger and it comes off the top and the smaller piston out the rear makes that 4 stroke torque in the bottom, both pistons fire in the same combustion chamber! and they both reach tdc at the same time. 1 spark plug too, cool bike, super rare, they make horse power, its a 2 stroke but feels more like a 4..” Huh, that explains the two tank caps.
Anyway, back to the French vibe. Here’s a picture of an old Monet & Goyon.
Très rad no?

‘I am the Lizard King, I can do anything…
except get into Florida State University.’ What?! Très random.
